Jewish Action for LA (JALA) is a nonprofit that engage Jewish Americans and their allies to advocate for policies that support human rights and democracy, ensuring diverse communities can live in dignity, prosperity, and safety, free from antisemitism and other forms of bigotry and discrimination

Motivated by our shared Jewish values, we work to advance a vision of Los Angeles and California that allows its diverse communities to live together in an inclusive, pluralist multiracial democracy where everyone can thrive.

These same values also guide our support for human rights and democracy for Israelis and Palestinians. We are committed to vigorously opposing and actively countering antisemitism of all forms, and to resisting the Trumpian weaponization of antisemitism allegations to attack democracy and civil liberties

Through political education, policy advocacy, and electoral mobilization, we work to ensure that a strong, thoughtful progressive Jewish voice is part of critical debates around social and economic justice, anti-semitism, civil rights, and the protection of vulnerable communities.

We’re proud to work closely with a 501(c)(3) partner nonprofit called Jewish Partnership for Los Angeles.
